Romans 12:9 commands us: Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder, we are reminded of the hate, deception, and distraction pressing in on our world. Yet Charlie’s life pointed to something higher. He was careful with his words, disciplined in his thinking, and sincere in his love for people—even those who opposed him.

That’s the kind of sincerity Scripture calls us to. Hate the evil that destroys lives, but never lose love for God’s people. Cling to what is good, and walk it out with courage.

Charlie Kirk’s assassination shook us all. On the eve of 9/11’s remembrance, we’re confronted with the full force of darkness pressing in on our world. Violence, corruption, and compromise surround us on every side.

Philippians 2:15–16 commands us: “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure… Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.”
