PHLY Sports' Charlie O'Connor was on the scene in Voorhees, NJ for Flyers' practice after their big, chaotic shootout victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Trevor Zegras spoke to the media after practice today regarding the huge melee at the end of overtime and his misconduct penalty forcing him out of the shootout. New head coach Rick Tocchet also spoke on Zegras' actions and what he's seeing in the new Flyer. Two surprising injury updates are also discussed regarding Christian Dvorak and Sam Ersson.

The Philadelphia Flyers mostly outplayed the Pittsburgh Penguins, who’d won 7 of their first 10 entering tonight. Bobby Brink stood out with a multi-point night, as did the team’s speed and possession overall. Unfortunately, Sidney Crosby got a Crosby Bounce in the third to tie the game and we got sent to OT because of a strong effort from Artus Silovs, and some typical Crosby nonsense.

Danny Briere and the Philadelphia Flyers front office has made the decision to send Jett Luchanko, the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, back to the OHL to play for the Guelph Storm (and potentially Team Canada in the World Junior Championship), rather than remain a fixture on the 4th line in Philly.
