After thinking rehab would get the job done in 2-3 months, it was announced today that Tyson Foerster is out five months as he’s now recovering from from surgery on his injured arm. Carl Grundstrom needed very little time to take advantage of his promotion into the top-9, scoring his third goal in five games since his recall. Trevor Zegras scored on a 2-on-1 and Bobby Brink netted a goal off of a Matvei Michkov steal behind the net to give the Flyers a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes.

It happened! After months of rumors, the Vancouver Canucks sent star defenseman Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Marco Rossi, Zeev Buium, Liam Ohgren, and a 2026 first-round pick.

The Philadelphia Flyers have lost 3 consecutive games for the first time this season, albeit they’ve earned a point in each. Trevor Zegras and Dan Vladar starred in a comeback for the Flyers, but Zegras couldn’t convert his shootout attempt, and Vladar surrendered the only goal of the skills competition, allowing the Canes to escape with another win over the Flyers, their 8th straight.

The Philadelphia Flyers have not beaten the Carolina Hurricanes in South Philly since March 5, 2020, having dropped eight straight to Rod Brind’Amour’s squad heading into this game. The Philadelphia Flyers played perfectly even with the Stanley Cup-contending Vegas Golden Knights through 60 minutes, going to OT tied at 2 and with matching shot totals.
