Here we go! The Season 2 Premier of Andor!

And what better way to kick off this long awaited series than by answering a listener submitted question in conjunction?

This is really what Path of the Jedi is all about — finding insights to our life experiences from Star Wars.

Andor in particular is so full of humanity, so full of character development, that it’s almost impossible not to learn from its themes and story arcs. This shows success is in large part due to how relatable ALL the character experiences are to what we go through as humans here on earth.

Niya in particular is going through a massive change in her life. And what she’s experiencing can serve as a reflection of what we all at one point or another go through.

That’s why it made so much sense to me to connect Leo’s question to the themes in this episode of Andor.

I know we were supposed to start our Andor Season 2 discussions today but honestly, I just couldn’t get it together in time.

So instead of pressuring myself to deliver what potentially would’ve been a subpar episode, I wanted to expand on last week’s message: Celebrate Your Wins.

It’s no secret. There exists a toxicity within the Star Wars fandom (and really, all fandom) that sometimes makes it difficult to participate in that fandom.

It’s great when we can have a shared love and experience in Star Wars, that it can bring us together in excitement and appreciation for the vast mythology within.

But when hate and ugliness invade those spaces, it’s tough to want to even be involved.

So, this episode discusses the roots of that toxicity and in giving a clearer understanding, a hope that we catch ourselves before we engage with and in that toxicity.

Because I took such a long hiatus and because I’ve connected with so many new people since reviving the show, I thought I’d take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself… at least in the context of this podcast.

So if you’re new, welcome and thank you.

If you’re a long-time listener, you’ll hear a familiar story told through a different lens. Four years have passed since I did a “who am I” episode, so my perspectives have definitely evolved since then.

There might be some new angles, new details remembered that I may not have shared before.

At any rate, I want for you to get to know me better and perhaps gain a better understanding of why I do what I do with this show.

We’ve arrived at the final episode of Ahsoka and what a doozy!

This episode shows us the stark contrast between Ahsoka and Thrawn and their approach to conflict.

While Thrawn’s approach relies completely on strategy and tactic, Ahsoka has begun to lean more into “going with the flow.” She’s learned to let go of the need for control and is allowing herself to once again “trust in the Force.”

Letting go. Leaning in. Surrender and trust. These are all things we can do more of. Combine that with Thrawn’s strategic mind, and you have a winning combination for achieving any goal and facing any challenge.
