Quote: "The lighthouse of the Lord beckons to all as we sail the seas of life." --- Thomas S Monson

Points of Leadership is all about equipping leaders in maximizing their leadership for the people they lead and care for.

A few weeks into the new year, many organizations and companies are visiting their goals for the year. From team meetings to strategy sessions, team members are adding their piece to the overall goals for the year. Here at Points of Leadership, we are jetting into the year, unclogging and breaking down some of the growth points for this year. We kick-off the year with the first two points we shared in our closing episode last year.

In a recent Harvard Business Review article, we see how a leader can lead with authenticity during a time of chaos in a company or organization. The article asserts that sometimes it is the top leadership such as the CEO that causes most of the chaos in an organization or company. In that case, a leader on the team can lead with authenticity by being the source of clarity.

In this 2026 kickoff episode, we provide three ways to provide clarity on your team. We also look to the oldest Book of life- the Bible; to glean insight on what chaos on a team, in an organization or company tells us. This is a great compass for Christian leaders in orienting their lives and leadership in alignment with orderliness.

Secondly, we examine how leaders can grow this year in the ethical use of technology. In an age of increasing deepfakes, leaders must know how to spot these fabricated artifacts that tend to look real. At this point AI is no longer science fiction, rather it has and continues to be an integral part of our everyday lives, whether we like it or not. We provide three ways for leaders to grow in their leadership of ethical use of technology. The most critical being the personal responsibility every leader has to ensure ethical approach to innovation and implementation.

As always, the leadership principles we share on Points of Leadership are for any leader in any industry that desires to take care of those they lead well through the overflow of his or her life. So, pull up a chair, call a friend and take a listen and share with any industry leader in your life on these growth points for this year.

We appreciate your feedback. It helps us to continue to serve you with excellence. We look forward to growing with you this year in your leadership journey. Thank you for the privilege of serving you! We wish you and your team the best this year. a blessed 2026! Thank you for engaging with us and for being a growing leader!

    Dec 16 2025

“The terrible thing, the almost impossible thing, is to hand over your whole self- all your wishes and precautions to Christ!” --- C.S. Lewis

Points of Leadership is all about equipping leaders in maximizing their leadership for the people they lead and care for.

With just a few days left in this year, many organizations and companies have their plans laid out at least for the first quarter of 2026. Some of them even bring in outside consultants to help them develop their growth strategies for next year. Using smart goals and all that comes with it, organizations and companies have a nice package plan for their 2026 growth points. However, in a recent Havard Business Review article, these approaches in developing new year growth points might not be the best, especially for team members. This is because the people that implement and execute these nice, packaged growth points are not involved in the conception and development. That is typically not a great recipe for success.

In this episode, we provide some recommended growth points to consider with your teams, families or communities as you develop your growth points for 2026. These are some growth points our teams will be diving into. In alignment with the cited Havard Business Review, we emphasize the importance of providing clarity, transparency and courage as a starting point for your 2026 growth points.

As shared in our last episode, the best leaders know that it is what is routinely done and modeled that can be transferred to their teams. Additionally, the best leaders know it is critical to spend time with their teams to hear from each team member as they cast vision for the next year or quarter. In this last episode of the year, Dr. Feyi Obamehinti and Mrs. Kristin Jaeck discuss and share their growth points for next year, which is a critical year for the USA- as we celebrate 250 years of exceptionalism as a nation.

From developing skills that are crucial for our time, to embracing ethical use of technology as we advance in AI, leaders are faced with new first world problems that need long term solutions. These solutions come as growth points, and take intentionality, design and application. As always, the leadership principles we share on Points of Leadership are for any leader in any industry that desires to take care of those they lead well through the overflow of his or her life. So, pull up a chair, call a friend and take a listen and share with any industry leader in your life on these growth points for 2026.

As we close out this year with this episode, be reminded that no matter who you are, you belong to God (spirit, soul and body)- whether you have acknowledged God or not, whether you love or hate God, whether you have your entire 2026 strategy plan or not, God holds in His hands everything that pertains to you. So, as you prepare to dash into a new year- dare not go alone and without Christ, including all your growth points of 2026. We have been blessed to serve you this year! Thank you for engaging with us and for being a growing leader! From our team here at Points of Leadership, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  • Points of Leadership Episode 48: Wrap Up Leadership Lessons of 2025
    Nov 18 2025

“Real leadership is leaders recognizing that they serve the people that they lead.” ---Pete Hoekstra

Points of Leadership is all about equipping leaders in maximizing their leadership for the people they lead and care for.

This time of year, most leaders across a variety of industries are not only reflecting on their team’s performance this year, but they are also casting vision and looking towards the next year. Here at Points of Leadership we are doing the same. We have dived into the great leadership lessons gleaned this year. And in our next episode we will dive into some of what we are excited about for 2026.

In this episode, we wrap up the leadership lessons from this year. What leaders routinely do and models can be transferred to their teams. Best leaders know it is critical to spend time with their teams to hear from each team member as they cast vision for the next year or quarter. In a recent Havard Business Review article, it asserts why it is important for leaders to reflect on leadership lessons. This is because leaders are under relentless pressure to perform in environments of increasing uncertainties and changes.

In this wrap up episode of leadership lessons of 2025, Dr. Feyi Obamehinti and Mrs. Kristin Jaeck discuss and share a leader’s ability to know his or her own capacity, practicing high road leadership and embracing dissenting opinions. It takes great skill for a leader to seek out variety of opinions that will enrich his or her team for the best of everyone on the team or the entire organization.

Lastly, they discuss the importance of positivity and reconnection time to refuel, refresh and rejuvenate. The best leaders know that the “hero complex” can be dangerous and sometimes deadly on the human health. As always, the leadership principles we share on Points of Leadership are for any leader in any industry that desires to take care of those they lead well through the overflow of his or her life. So, pull up a chair, call a friend and take a listen and share with any industry leader in your life.
