    Sequoyah sherrill is a passionate advocate for mental health in general but most importantly in her community, hihglighting the importance of black therapists and cultural competency in treatment. She currently serves as cofounder and CEO of OnMyCouchhh a wellness collective and consulting agency founded to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health in the black community.

    This was such a full conversation and so many gems were dropped regarding balancing your breakthrough with breathwork. Sequoyah definitely didn't hold back during this interview. There was so much detail to how she got to focusing on breathwork in her own Mental Health journey.

    Kamilah Thomas (she/her/hers) is a seasoned Licensed Psychotherapist, Clinical

    Supervisor, Coach, Speaker, and Entrepreneur with over 15 years of extensive

    clinical and managerial expertise. A graduate of the University of Houston with a

    master's in social work, Kamilah founded KBT Counseling and Consulting in 2018 -

    a private practice created to provide a safe space for Black women to unpack their

    emotional distress and vulnerabilities.


    As a recovering "Strong Black Woman" herself, Kamilah brings a unique

    perspective and empathetic approach to her work. Her proficiency as an EMDR-

    trained therapist and life coach helps her clients navigate challenges like

    depression, anxiety, trauma, limiting narratives, perfectionism, and self-sabotage.

    Kamilah is passionate about empowering the Strong Black Woman to redefine

    their strength through vulnerability, set healthy boundaries, and cultivate radical

    self-compassion.
