**TOP 5% GLOBALLY RANKED PODCAST**

⏰ Do you struggle to prioritize TIME for yourself to heal?

🤝 Are you longing for CONNECTION with others who “get it”?

🗣️ Do you desire SAFE SPACES to have deep meaningful conversations without fear of judgement?

😵‍💫 Are you tired of spiraling into shame and isolation instead of moving towards what NOURISHES you?

If any of this sounds like you, can we be friends??!! Self-Care for Mental Health is your time and space to heal in community. 🫶

Hi friend, I’m Amy – a table enthusiast who loves sunshine ☀️, coffee ☕️, and creating spaces where people feel safe to talk about their mental health and wellness. ❤️‍🩹🌊

I am a Certified Peer Specialist and Self-Care Coach who has seen first hand how important it is when we learn how to love ourselves right where we need to be on our way to where we want to go.

I spent years longing to connect with others in deep meaningful ways but too often I was stuck in cycles of shame, not prioritizing my own self-care. I lived in silence, feeling invisible. It wasn’t until I risked being vulnerable and sharing what I was living with, that I found a community of peers with similar lived experiences where I could heal authentically.

I believe having safe spaces to talk about our mental health and wellness is essential to recovering our lives. Self-Care for Mental Health is a safe space where you will hear from a community of peers who understand what it is like to live with mental health challenges, and who daily inspire hope that mental health and wellness recovery is possible for everyone.

If you are done not making your own self-care a priority, tired of slipping into shame cycles leading to isolation, and are curious about having a safe space where you can connect with others in a non-judgmental environment, you’re in the right place. Get ready to be surrounded by love and acceptance wherever you are on your wellness journey. Your presence matters here!

Reheat your emotional support coffee and join me at the table ☕️

With you,

Amy

  • 51 | Seeking Professional Help for Our Mental Health is Not Weakness- with Special Guest Jonathan Kemp
    Oct 10 2025

Hi friend 🫶 Have you ever felt resistant to seeking professional help for your mental health or that it’s too late?

My guest today, Jonathan Kemp, is a mental health advocate, entrepreneur, and creator of SmartWisdom- a scientifically validated note-taking technique. He was born into privilege as the future 3rd Viscount of Rochdale. He knew something wasn’t right since he was about 7 years old and struggled for years trying everything he could on his own to feel better.

He was diagnosed at age 39 with bipolar disorder, depression, and dyslexia. He had been unaware of how these mental health challenges had been shaping his life until he finally sought professional help.

His memoir, Finding Peace of Mind: An Inspirational Journey through Bipolar, Depression, Addiction, and Dyslexia is releasing today, October 10, 2025.

In it he reveals how privilege and outward success offered no protection from the quiet devastation of undiagnosed mental illness and how he ultimately fought to build his sense of purpose and mental clarity.

If you’ve ever felt resistant to seeking professional help or that it’s too late, this episode is for you. Listen in.

🪺 Back to Self-Care Quick Tips: Cocooning for Rest

Sometimes the most powerful form of self-care is retreat. In this episode, I share how cocooning—creating a safe, cozy space to rest—helped me move through exhaustion this summer.

    Together, we’ll talk about:

    • How cocooning calms the nervous system and restores balance
    • My personal story of reaching burnout, unplugging, and recovering after rest
    • Simple ways to create your own pocket of safety at home

✨ Quick Tip Takeaway: Create a 10-minute cocoon this week—wrap up in a blanket, sip tea, dim the lights, or play calming music. Let it be enough.
