  • The Role of Suffering I Socratic Satsang
    Oct 25 2025

Whether it comes through loss, failure, illness, or inner conflict, suffering is something we instinctively resist. Yet, across time and traditions, sages, philosophers, and mystics have suggested that suffering may not be an enemy, but a teacher — perhaps even a necessary ingredient for growth, wisdom, and compassion.

What is the role of suffering in the human journey? Can pain be transformative? And how do we discern between needless suffering and the kind that refines the soul?

    Nice Versus Good

Explore the subtle yet profound difference between being Nice and being Good.

Peel back the layers of social conditioning to ask deeper questions:

    • Why do we prioritize being liked over being ethical?
    • Can we live in a world that has no niceness?

Through stories, philosophy, and real-life reflection, this episode invites you to re-examine your values and consider: would you rather be nice, or would you rather be good?
