À propos de cet audio

We’re Sarah Walton and Michele Wang, two 50-something women who’ve been friends for over 25 years—and all we really want to do is talk some sh*t and laugh our asses off. Not everything has to be “a breakthrough” or “next-level” or “the 5-step path to becoming your best self." We promise you: no important lessons will be taught and no deep dives will be taken. We’re officially overwhelmed and drowning with all the self-help, get-better information out there and frankly we’re at full capacity. We just want to hang out and we want nothing more than for you to join us. So welcome to Talk Shit and Laugh (TSAL)—a weekly podcast for women, where two lifelong friends, talk about all the random sh*t rolling around in their heads. We’re tired of pretending we’re fine, sick of fixing ourselves, and deeply craving something real. We promise: No important lessons will be taught No gratuitous self-help Just wildly honest conversations about the things keeping us up at night... or making us snort-laugh. We talk friendship, aging, health, relationships, reinvention, midlife identity crises (plural), and the deeply underrated power of laughing your damn face off—even when the topics are heavy. We won’t always know what we’re talking about next. But that’s kind of the magic. It’s real, it’s heartfelt, and it’s unfiltered—like the group chat you actually want to be in. Whether you’re cooking, commuting, or hiding in your bathroom (or pantry) for a few minutes of peace—TSAL is here to remind you that you’re not alone—and you're definitely not done. Subscribe now, pour yourself something fabulous, and join this community to talk sh*t and laugh. Welcome. We’re so freaking glad you’re here.2025 Sciences sociales

  • Doritos & Cheetos. Better Than Sex.
    Sep 14 2025

This is an episode about our mini-addictions - mostly food. But not in a “meal prep and macros” kind of way. No, this is about the other food moments…

The ones where you're alone, no one’s watching, and you suddenly think,
    "What do I actually WANT?"

In this episode, Sarah and Michele reveal:

    • The mini food “addictions” we’re not trying to fix (but definitely talk to ourselves about)
    • Why being alone with snacks is our personal holiday
    • How Michele lowkey plans grocery trips like logistics operations
    • Why Sarah cannot—not even for a second—be alone with a family-size Dorito bag
    • And the question no one asked but we definitely answered: Is food usually better than sex?

Funny. Confessional. Slightly shameful. Completely human.

This is your non-judgmental food confession corner, brought to you by two 50-something women who’ve eaten peanut butter straight out of the jar... and would do it again.

  • No Boss. No Pants. No Problem.
    Sep 7 2025

Let’s be honest: we’re not built for middle management.

In this episode, Sarah and Michele get real (and a little unhinged) about the deep joy of working for ourselves in our 50s—and why we’re never going back. From throwing in a load of laundry between client calls to…uh…passing gas in peace (Michele), this is a love letter to freedom, flexibility, and unapologetic comfort.

    We talk about:

    • The moment we knew we couldn’t have a boss ever again
    • Why saying “I’ll circle back” makes our souls wilt
    • The power of working in stretchy pants, with snacks
    • How entrepreneurship lets you design a life that fits your rhythm—not your old commute
    • Michele’s now-infamous elevator story ("Is everything alright in there, ma'am?")

This one’s part hilarious, part permission slip: If you’ve ever thought “I just want to do my own thing and not answer to anyone,” — welcome.

You’re not crazy. You’re just built (like us) for freedom.

  • What's Your Ultimate Last Meal?
    Aug 31 2025

What started as a chat about our last meal ever turned into a full-blown confession corner about nostalgic junk food, fast food favorites, and forbidden childhood snacks we still think about (and still indulge in occasionally).

In this episode, Sarah and Michele dig into:

    • Our ultimate last meal requests - warning: you may hear more swallowing than normal … these are good

    • Which fast-food settles Michele’s stomach

    • French fries that ruin you for all other fries (yes, there’s a ranking, and flaccidity matters)

    • The pull of “fry sauce” in Sarah’s teenage years - and is that still a thing in Utah?

Come hungry and unhinged—because this one goes deep into the snack archives.

This episode is basically what happens when two 50-something women let down their salad defenses and tell the truth about the foods that raised them (and may still haunt their doordash carts from time to time).

Whether you're commuting, folding laundry, screaming into a pillow, or hiding in your pantry for 20 minutes of peace—Talk Shit and Laugh is your new weekly ritual for real friendship, midlife magic, and unfiltered fun.
