Self-image is an individual’s mental representation of themselves, their internal world so to say, and to a certain extent, their external appearance as it relates to the self and how they view it. Self-image, this internal world, is created by everything we believe about ourselves, including all the stories about who we are, woven into an internal world of considerable complexity, texture and depth, a mental internal tapestry of self.
