  • The Grateful Artist - Attachment to Victimhood
    Oct 5 2025
Today, we’re talking about victimhood—how it can hold us back and what we can do to reclaim our strength. Many artists and creatives fall into the trap of feeling like they have no control over their success or failures. They blame circumstances, others, or bad luck for their struggles. But the truth is, dwelling in that victim mindset keeps us stuck, unable to move forward or fully live our purpose.

Buddhism teaches us that victimhood stems from attachment and aversion—clinging to suffering and resisting what is. The Buddha said, “Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.” When we see ourselves as victims, we nourish that poison, and it prevents growth.

Another powerful teaching is, “What we think, we become,” which reminds us that our thoughts shape our reality. If we shift from a victim mindset to one of acceptance and responsibility, we regain our strength. Instead of asking, “Why me?” we ask ourselves, “What can I learn?” or “What is mine to do now?” Remember, true empowerment comes from owning our choices and recognizing that we always have the power to change our story.

  • The Grateful Artist - Say, I Love You!

The Grateful Artist - Say I Love You!

Welcome to “The Grateful Artist”, a podcast dedicated to inspiring artists, creators, and dreamers to live and create with gratitude. Hosted by Stephanie Paige, a renowned artist and author, this show explores the deeper connection between creativity, mindfulness, and the power of opening your heart.

This week, we're diving into the most powerful energy on earth: Love. In this episode, we explore how love can serve as the greatest protection in a world that often feels challenging and overwhelming, especially for sensitive artists. The practice I invite you to try is simple but transformational: say aloud, "I love everyone, and everyone loves me."

This mantra is more than words; it's a way to free yourself from negativity, hate, and emotional wounds. As artists—who often feel deeply and are highly sensitive—this love within us is part of our spirit, our essence. It’s a deep, innate force that can shield us from the hate and chaos we see around us.

Many of us spend years desperately seeking love from others, only to end up feeling empty and hurt when it isn’t returned. Learning to harness and give love from within is a powerful act of self-protection—and a path toward healing. Because, as the wise say, love is the only thing that can truly dissolve hate.

Join us as we discuss how loving freely, without expectations or judgment, can transform your relationships and your life. We'll also share inspiring quotes from spiritual leaders like Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, Ram Dass, and others that echo the importance of unconditional love, presence, and acceptance.

Remember, love is not about possession—it's about presence. It’s about opening our hearts and trust that love, in its purest form, is the greatest power on earth.

  • The Grateful Artist -Meditation Podcast

    Meditation Podcast

Welcome to “The Grateful Artist”, a podcast dedicated to inspiring artists, creators, and dreamers to live and create with gratitude. Hosted by Stephanie Paige, a renowned artist and author, this show explores the deeper connection between creativity, mindfulness, and the power of opening your heart. Today, we’re diving into the world of Meditation—an art form that is uniquely your own.

One of the most important truths about meditation is that there is no one right way. There’s no single method, no perfect program, or spiritual guru to follow. Meditation is about YOU—your mind, your body, and your spirit. It’s about being fully present in this moment, because that’s the only place where true connection happens. If we show up wholeheartedly in the present, that’s all there is—no yesterday, no tomorrow—just now.

This awareness extends beyond ourselves to our connection with Mother Nature and everything around us. When we realize how deeply interconnected we are, it becomes a source of power and peace.

My wish for you is that you find your own practice—without judgment or comparison. There’s no perfect way to meditate. Whether it’s sitting quietly, driving with full attention, washing dishes while feeling the moment, or simply walking and sensing your steps—show up for yourself. Connect with your inner self, thank your body and spirit for always being present, and trust that your unique practice will unfold naturally.

Because meditation is simply about showing up—with an open heart and a curious mind. That’s where true growth begins.

  • The Grateful Artist - Attention Seekers

Attention-Seekers: Stand Out by Embracing your Inner Truth

In this episode, we explore four powerful practices that make true seekers stand apart. Instead of taking things at face value, they investigate and discover what truly resonates with their soul. We talk about how seeking is not just about personal growth but about connecting with others who shine their light brightly. When you seek the truth, you realize that we are all interconnected—coming from different places, but fundamentally the same. Even in our darkest moments, we can see ourselves in others.

This week’s exercises will help you cultivate a deeper connection with your purpose:
    - Reach out to someone who inspires you and let their light move you.
    - Thank those who have influenced you and share what you’ve learned.
    - Align your actions with your life’s purpose and path.

Join us as we explore how to stand out as a true seeker—by trusting your journey, connecting authentically, and shining your light in the world.

  • The Grateful Artist - Broken Receiver.
    Sep 17 2025
    Broken Receiver

In this episode of The Greatful Artist, we delve into a fundamental yet often overlooked aspect of our emotional and energetic well-being—the concept of the broken receiver. Many of us are experts at giving. We pour our energy, our time, and our love into supporting others, sharing our talents, and expressing ourselves freely. But when it comes to receiving—gifts, compliments, love, and help—the process becomes much more complicated. Why is it that we can give so freely but struggle so intensely to accept?

Our ability to truly receive is deeply connected to our energy flow. If our receiver is broken, the flow of positive energy gets blocked. We hold tight to our pride, self-doubt, or past wounds—building walls that prevent the natural flow of abundance and love coming back to us. This imbalance creates a ripple effect, fueling feelings of inadequacy, loneliness, and even depression. It hampers our ability to connect, to trust, and to feel worthy of joy and kindness.

The concept of the broken receiver isn’t just about emotional walls; it’s about understanding that energy is everything. When we refuse to accept love and kindness, we block the cycle of giving and receiving that sustains us. Conversely, a broken giver—someone who takes without giving, without connection, or awareness—can create friction in relationships and drain our energy. This unbalanced exchange can cause a sense of ongoing disconnect and loneliness, fueling struggles with mental health and feelings of emptiness.

My upcoming book, set to release in January 2026, titled “The Broken Receiver”, will explore this very topic in depth. It offers practical exercises, techniques, and tricks of the trade—ways to train our minds and reprogram our thoughts so our energy flows freely. Because it’s all connected—our thoughts, feelings, and energy are intertwined, and learning to open our hearts to receive allows us to cultivate beautiful, flowing energy that enhances every aspect of our lives.

I want to thank you for tuning in today. If this resonates with you, I invite you to connect with me. You can reach out for comments, insights, or just to share your story

  • The Grateful Artist - Brain Maintenance -
    Sep 11 2025
Welcome to Brain Maintenance with Stephanie Paige

In this episode, we’re diving into the vital topic of brain health and how to nurture your mind to live more fully, creatively, and positively. So often, we get caught in mental ruminations—those endless cycles where we stay stuck at home, overwhelmed by worries about the past or anxieties about the future. The more we stay in that space, the heavier our lives feel, even though we believe we’re resting. But the truth is, the longer we wait to engage with the world—whether by taking a walk, soaking up sunlight, or simply shifting our perspective—the more difficult it becomes to lift ourselves out of mental fatigue.

We’ll talk about how perspective shapes our brain chemistry. When you view anxiety as a sign of growth, a sign that you’re leveling up, your body responds with calm and confidence. Conversely, if you’re trapped in worry—dreading tomorrow or fearing the worst—your brain releases toxins that can poison your body and attract more negativity. But here’s the good news: your mindset is within your control. When you change your perspective to one of optimism and trust, you can reset your chemistry, your energy, and your overall well-being.

To support this journey, I’ll share a curated list of my favorite books on mind health and self-awareness. These inspiring titles include works
