Dr. GiTonya L. Parker, commonly known as Dr. Gi, is a seasoned grants management expert, educator, and nonprofit capacity-building strategist with nearly 30 years of experience working with federal, state, and local government funding. She currently serves as a municipal Grants Coordinator, managing millions in annual grant funding, and leads Granted, a consulting brand focused on assisting small businesses, nonprofit groups, and small-to-midsize HBCUs in enhancing their grant readiness, funding strategies, and compliance systems. Dr. Gi combines technical expertise with heartfelt leadership. Her approach is based on servant and transformational leadership, focusing on identifying organizational gaps, developing sustainable funding solutions, and empowering mission-driven teams to succeed beyond just a single award. She has supported organizations through every stage of the grant lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and creating proposals to managing, monitoring, and closing grants. She holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, with research focused on mentors' perceptions of self-connectedness, reflecting her long-standing dedication to mentoring, youth development, and community impact. Alongside her consulting work, Dr. Gi is an adjunct professor, public speaker, and trusted technical assistance provider, often leading workshops on grant management, financial sustainability, and organizational capacity building. Dr. Gi is a member of the National Grants Management Association, a certified technical writer, a DOJ-trained grants professional, and a peer reviewer for state and federal agencies. Through her business, Granted, she continues to promote equity, preparedness, and sustainability—helping organizations transition from seeking funding to managing impact. Dr. Gi is a proud Mom of two young men, Jabari and Jaedon, and serves the community as a member of Faith Community Baptist Church and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

"Prepared organizations don't just win grants - they manage them well, grow with intention, and lead with impact."

  • 2026 Marketing Trends
    Jan 2 2026

    Send us a text

Marketing is shifting—and 2026 will reward small business owners who are intentional, human, and strategic with how they show up.

In this episode, I break down six key marketing trends shaping 2026, specifically for small businesses, solopreneurs, and entrepreneurs with lean teams (0–15 employees). These are not buzzwords or big-brand strategies—they’re practical shifts you can actually implement without a massive budget or staff.

We talk about how AI and human creativity work together to differentiate your brand, why collaborations and shared audiences are becoming one of the fastest paths to growth, and how smaller, intentional events are outperforming large conferences when it comes to trust and conversions.

I also cover why short-form video still matters—but long-form content is making a comeback, how search is evolving beyond keywords into conversational, multi-format discovery, and why turning your brand into an experience (not just content) is essential for standing out in today’s crowded digital space.

If you’re planning your 2026 marketing strategy, feeling overwhelmed by trends, or trying to grow your visibility without burning out, this episode will help you focus on what actually works—and what to stop chasing.

    🎧 Perfect for:

    • Small business owners
    • Coaches, consultants, and service providers
    • Entrepreneurs building a personal brand
    • Leaders planning ahead for 2026

👉 Listen in and choose one trend to start implementing now—because momentum beats perfection every time.
