IMPORTANT INFORMATION: this is our last episode of season 1. We will be starting off strong with season number 2 on the 4th of September. But until then, we aren't abandoning you! We are going to be doing We Will Manage Monday episodes between now and then to make sure you don't miss us too much. See you on Monday!

Welcome to "We will Manage" podcast. Hosted by Alba and Saoirse, two young professionals figuring out the working world — one conversation at a time. With the mission to create an honest work-related community, we dive into the good, the bad and the messy parts of navigating your career. Expect real-life stories, special guests sharing hard-earned lessons, and practical insights on everything from office politics to achieving a healthier work-life balance. “We Will Manage” keeps it authentic and light hearted—reminding you that absolutely no one has it all figured out, not even Bezos.

Alba, branding specialist and business owner, and Saoirse, materials engineer and project manager, grew up together in a small Spanish village and after taking very different career paths as ambitious young professionals, they ended up in similar situations with two very different points of view. When noticing that they often looked to those around them to navigate the complexity of the working world, they decided to create a community for all those that seek an external view on what's normal. Passionate about learning from other's experiences and discussing just about any topic, they are ready to unveil the secrets of the workplace.

So whether you are a young entrepreneur or a senior manager, join the Workplace Collective to laugh, learn and feel a bit less alone.

  • Ep. 014 – Meditation, Manifestation, and the power of the mind
    Jul 31 2025

In this episode, we get personal. Spirituality, meditation, manifestation — we know, we know, it sounds a bit woo woo. But hear us out.

As we near the end of Season 1 (how?!), we wanted to explore the deeper, more vulnerable side of working life. This isn't about religion or floating off into the clouds — it's about how we manage our minds. We talk about the tools we actually use (or don't), how meditation has shaped our daily habits, and whether manifestation is real or just delusion with extra steps.

    We also get into:

    - Why horses are the OG mindfulness coaches

    - How our childhood fairy rituals and Harry Potter obsession shaped our outlook

    - The neuroscience behind meditation (yes, we did research)

This one’s part science and part storytime — and we loved it.

  • We Will Manage: Would You Rather - Business Edition
    Jul 28 2025

The questions? Handpicked by ChatGPT (who, for some reason, is always a man?).

The guest? An unexpected horse with very strong opinions about biscuits.

In our second-ever We Will Manage Mondays, we’re shaking things up—and dialing up the chaos. For the first time ever, we recorded together in person, during a little getaway in Spain, and decided to let you get to know us better through a game of Would You Rather: Business Edition.

Along the way, we dive into money, boundaries, client chaos, comfort zones, and what we’d choose between work/life extremes. Expect laughter, honesty, and plenty of on-brand tangents (plus some surprise equine commentary).

This is We Will Manage, but a little looser, lighter, and bursting with personality. Let us know which answers surprised you—and what your answers would be!

We’ll be uploading a We Will Manage Mondays episode on the last Monday of every month as we test the waters with this new format. Your feedback means the world to us, so tell us what you think and what you’d love to hear more of!

  • Ep. 013 – Who’s your ideal customer? (and why it matters)
    Jul 24 2025

Who are you really working for? In this episode, Alba and Saoirse dive into the wild world of finding your ideal customer without losing your mind (or your sense of humor). We’re talking dream clients vs. nightmare clients, how to get into that magical “flow” state at work, and why surrounding yourself with like-minded people makes all the difference.

What to expect: real talk about knowing your worth, ditching the “marketing speak,” and learning to spot your people (and gently steer away from the ones that really aren't). We also play “Translate This!”—turning stiff sales pitches into something you’d actually say out loud, and share honest stories about when it all just clicked (and when it really, really didn’t).

Whether you’re a business owner, freelancer, or just trying to figure out who you want to work with, this episode is packed with laughs, insights, and practical tips to help you find—and speak to—your dream audience.

The book we referenced in the episode is: "Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience" by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi (now do you understand why Alba could not pronounce it?)

  • Ep. 012 – Our first steps into the investor world
    Jul 17 2025
This week, we dive into the wild world of getting investors — a conversation sparked by Saoirse’s very real fundraising conversations this week, and Alba’s very real nerves pitching to actual investors for the first time.

We break down what funding even means: bootstrapping vs grants vs giving away equity (aka dilutive money — yep, we had to Google it too). We talk about the mental load of fundraising, the emotional rollercoaster of pitching, and whether either of us actually wants investors. Spoiler: we’re divided.

Also, we play a cheeky game of "Who Would You Invest In?" and unpack red flags we’ve seen (and maybe thrown) when it comes to asking for money.

This episode is for you if you’re building something and wondering: do I need investors? What kind? How do I even start? Or if you just want to laugh along as we figure it all out, one confusing term and overly honest pitch at a time.

  • Ep. 011 – How to work with Friends & Family (without ruining the relationship)
    Jul 10 2025

It starts with good intentions: a friend wants to hire you, a cousin needs a website, your partner offers to help with marketing. But somewhere between the first “no worries” and the tenth unpaid revision… things get complicated.

In Episode 11 of We Will Manage, we explore the real, sometimes messy, always human side of working with loved ones.

    We talk about:

    • Why it feels easier to work with people you love — and why it’s actually not
    • The blurred lines between friendship and professionalism
    • Listener dilemmas that hit way too close to home (yes, that friend who still hasn’t paid you)
    • Boundaries, awkward conversations, and when to just say no

This one’s part cautionary tale, part group therapy — with some laughs, some hard truths, and a lot of “OMG, same.”

Press play and let us know: would you work with a friend again?

  • Ep. 010 – How companies actually work
    Jul 3 2025
This one’s for the nerds (us). We finally get into… organizational structures. Wait, come back! It’s actually super interesting — promise.

Saoirse breaks down what vertical, horizontal, matrix, and Spotify-style structures even are, while Alba tries to figure out where her future branding empire fits in. We talk through our own workplaces, compare notes on Netflix’s vacation chaos, and play a little game of “Flat or Stacked?” (it’s like Tinder for org charts).

In this episode:– How startups can go from chaotic to clear (without losing the magic)– The pros and cons of being the boss (or having one)– Real-world org charts from Apple, Amazon, John Lewis & more– Why “two pizza teams” might be the most iconic phrase of the season– Whether we’d thrive in a massive corporate or a tiny team with big dreamsAnd no, we still don’t fully understand what a guild is.
