In this festive edition of When in Frome, Daisy, Sonia and Becky take you through a month packed with lights, laughter, local stories and winter treats. Daisy attempts the legendary Cobble Wobble, Frome gathers for a magical Lantern Parade and we get hands on at a pickling workshop before sampling some very merry flavours at the Still Sisters gin school. There's a sweet stop at the Frome Chocolate Fair, a heartfelt conversation with this month's Local Legend, Mark McGann, and a riotous night out at T'Barry Bingo. Becky meets the creators of a brand new football podcast before giving us her festive guide to everything happening in town this month. A celebration of Frome at its best, all wrapped up for December.

This month’s episode of When in Frome is a little more personal. Daisy opens up to Sonia about the recent loss of her son, Ben, and reflects on the incredible kindness and support her family has felt from friends, neighbours and the wider Frome community. Daisy chats to this month’s Local Legend, Alison Murdoch, from The Good Heart Café and the Frome Kindness Festival, about why simple acts of care can have a ripple effect far beyond the high street. Later, the team head down to the River Frome to explore an uplifting piece of local nature news: beavers are back! They hear how these industrious creatures are reshaping the landscape and what their return means for wildlife in Somerset. And of course, Becky rounds things off with her Fabulous Frome Forecast, your guide to all the best gigs, markets and festivals happening in November. It’s an episode filled with warmth and hope - a reminder that even in times of loss, kindness really does grow here in Frome.

In this month's episode, we dive into all things October in Frome. Daisy braves a ghost walk led by the long-departed Reverend Joseph Glanvill, uncovering spooky tales like the Nunney Hitchhiker and the Griffin ghost. Sonia takes part in the Frome Big Bat Count, spotting 187 bats across 12 species - proving Halloween isn't the only time bats come out to play. Our Local Legend is Jackie Bryant, Asda's community champion, whose tireless fundraising supports charities across the town. And in this month's Challenge Sonia, she picks up a bow and arrow for an archery session - and turns out to be a natural. The whole team was out at the Frome Carnival, capturing the atmosphere and interviewing people in the crowd. And as always Becky from Fabulous Frome rounds things off with her What's On Guide so you won't miss anything happening in October.
