This month’s episode of When in Frome is a little more personal. Daisy opens up to Sonia about the recent loss of her son, Ben, and reflects on the incredible kindness and support her family has felt from friends, neighbours and the wider Frome community. Daisy chats to this month’s Local Legend, Alison Murdoch, from The Good Heart Café and the Frome Kindness Festival, about why simple acts of care can have a ripple effect far beyond the high street. Later, the team head down to the River Frome to explore an uplifting piece of local nature news: beavers are back! They hear how these industrious creatures are reshaping the landscape and what their return means for wildlife in Somerset. And of course, Becky rounds things off with her Fabulous Frome Forecast, your guide to all the best gigs, markets and festivals happening in November. It’s an episode filled with warmth and hope - a reminder that even in times of loss, kindness really does grow here in Frome.
