Hold on. This wasn't how I envisioned this would be. I mean, in the movies the music is right, the girl is patiently anticipating the love, and the guy is mentally psyching himself up for what is supposed to be the most life-altering, man-producing moment of his life. But that did not happen. Not even close. The stupid cassette tape was skipping, so Baby Face's "I only think of you" came out as "I only tink on you". Really romantic song, eh? I only fart on you on two occasions...just great.

Imagine: a fantasy world, but not one based on medieval/Dark Ages European culture and myth, but rather on the tropes of the spaghetti Western and Chinese Wuxia. Add steampunk elements. Mix well.

There is a thin wall between our world and that of the Fae, and, during times of war, it is easily stepped through. The passions and emotions stirred by violence and combat bleed over, and the supernatural often awake from long slumber to meddle in mortal affairs. Then also, there are the humans who purposely force that wall down seeking glory and power.

While growing up in the ’70s, Mark Edwards was surrounded by bullies. As a kid back then, you would eventually find yourself with older kids, whose only purpose was to threaten and pummel the crap out of you. All you had to do was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was the age before political correctness and the peak of the bullies. They were everywhere.
