John Henry "Doc" Holliday, had come to Glenwood Springs Colorado to take in the healing mineral waters of the Yampah Hot Springs and Cave. This was his last desperate attempt to heal his diseased lungs from the ravages of tuberculosis, known as consumption. The mineral hot water and vapor cave were known to the native Ute Indians as "Big Medicine Waters," that they considered to be very sacred ground. This is also a story of love, redemption, conversion and baptism into the Catholic Church before his death.
