One morning the residents of Dull-on-Sea wake up to find their town is overrun - with rats! Big rats, small rats, fierce rats, hungry rats...it’s an infestation! Just when everyone is at their wits' end, a nautical stranger who plays the pipe turns up and offers to get rid of the rodent problem - for a fee. But once the rats are gone, the greedy mayor of Dull-on-Sea refuses to pay - so the Pirate Piper plays an enchanted tune and leads the children away. Can Jim, Matilda, and Nugget save their friends?

While the Jolley-Rogers are enjoying a day at the beach, Dad and Mom and little sister Nugget are mysteriously drawn into a cave. When they don't return, Jim Lad is suspicious and sends Bones the dog to Dull-on-Sea to find Matilda before he, too, ventures into the cave. Jim Lad soon discovers a magical haul of treasure inside the cave that has bewitched his family. Will the cave's sinister sea hags keep them prisoner forever, or can Matilda and Bones come to the Jolley-Rogers' rescue?

Every full moon, a mysterious ship is seen off the coast of Dull-on-Sea. Then, the next day, gold and jewelry are missing from homes, shops, and museums all over town. Matilda needs the Jolley-Rogers' help to investigate. Can Matilda and Jim Lad retrieve the stolen booty from the mysterious ship before the moon fades? Or will they end up stuck on board with a crew of ghostly pirates forever?

When Matilda discovers a treasure map inside an old bottle, she shows it to the Jolley-Rogers and they all set sail to find the mysterious island on the map. Unfortunately, they end up in the belly of the dastardly Pirate Cruncher! Can Matilda and the rest of the Jolly-Rogers rescue themselves before it is too late? Or will they end up trapped there forever? Expect adventure, laughs, and perhaps an almighty sneeze.

Ahoi und Leinen los, hier kommen die Jolley-Rogers! Welch ein Glück, dass Matildas bester Freund Jim ein waschechter Pirat ist! Denn das Stadtmuseum von Schnarch am Deich wurde geplündert, ausgerechnet bei Vollmond, wie so viele andere Museen an der Küste auch. Eine Spur führt zum legendären Käpt'n Zwirbelbart und seinen Geisterpiraten. Matilda und Jim schmieden einen cleveren Plan, um den Räubern das Handwerk zu legen.

Eigentlich wollten die Jolley-Rogers, die verrückteste Piratenfamilie der Welt, nur einen ruhigen Tag am Strand verbringen. Doch dann entdecken sie die geheimnisvolle Grotte am Kap Hexenschädel. Einer nach dem anderen will die Höhle durchsuchen - und kehrt nicht mehr zurück, denn sie ist mit einem Fluch belegt. Zum Glück erfährt Matilda, eine Freundin der Piraten, im verschlafenen Ort Schnarch am Deich von ihrer Not und bricht auf, um sie zu befreien. Doch auch Matilda gerät in den Bann des Hexenzaubers, aber eine waschechte Landratte gibt nicht so schnell auf!
