Mika was a girl who liked to have fun. Young and beautiful, her life was all about drinking, partying, hitting the club, and kicking it with whatever brother could take her to the next level physically. But it all changed in an instant when she found herself at the wrong place, at the wrong time – and with the wrong man. Having seen something she shouldn’t have, Mika goes on the run. But constantly looking over your shoulder takes its toll, and Mika soon finds herself beaten down by a life of perpetual vigilance

Having survived being set up and various attempts on their lives, Mika and Kane are dead set on walking away, leaving the treachery of the hood and street life far behind them. They quickly discover, however, that certain things are easier said than done. As Kane takes steps to dissolve his various partnerships, he and Mika soon discover that–although they may be done with the streets–the streets are not done with them. Someone is after them. Someone with power, money and influence…and a personal score to settle.

Life in the hood is generally hard on a day-to-day basis, but it’s even harder when there’s a massive bounty on your head–as Mika and Kane have discovered. With a considerable amount of cash now in their possession, the smart money says that the two should leave town as soon as possible (before someone collects on them) and go some place where no one knows them. Some place where their violent past won’t find them. Some place where they can get a fresh start. Kane, however, refuses to leave without confirming that Jaycee–his partner and best friend–is okay.
