The Breach

Dwyn couldn't wait for Drakemere's Tournament of Champions. He had come of age this year, so it would be his first time competing in the city's biggest event. First though, he needed to help his old mentor with a small task. All he had to do was find a stolen crate, steal it back from the thieves who had taken it, and return it to the retired head of the knights. He even knew where it was and had formed a great team. On the surface, it seemed simple. He couldn't have been more wrong. An evil was rising, and they were all directly in its path.

Sylvan thought she had found a good place to settle for a while. Her trust wasn’t earned easily, but she had found a city she liked, people she loved, and new wizardry mentors in the Tower of Watchers. However, Zacharon, her first magic instructor, was back in her life and creating chaos. Literally. She had no idea how far her trust would be tested and how deep that chaos would run.

Bren’s life had been destroyed when his family was killed by an unprovoked attack while on a cave expedition for Crag Home. After he found his way home, alone, the leadership of the city refused to see him. He left in anger, grief, and confusion to start a new life in Drakemere. It was great for a long time until Chaos descended and threw his life into disarray once more. Unexpectedly, the King of Crag Home was found, hiding as a chef in a kitchen in his new city. Somehow, he knows Zacharon, the architect of Drakemere’s plunge into anarchy.
