The Nix Series

I knew the sins of my past would call to collect what was left of my soul. If I'd known the price I'd pay, I would've sacrificed more to stay hidden from the magic. In the middle of Wyoming - away from the abnormals of the world - I thought I was free and clear. I started a new life. Found a love I'd never known in a husband, and a son who was my everything. And in a blinding instant, that life was stolen from me.

I thought that going after those who'd destroyed my life would help me move on. At the very least, that it would ease the thirst for vengeance singing in my blood. I was wrong. With my guns at my side, I continue to search for ways to punish the one man who took everything from me. The man who killed my family. Death is far too good for him. I want to make him suffer, to take from him everything he loves. To that end, I need a code breaker, one who deals in magical glyphs.

To save my son, I would give up my soul. To survive this journey and stop those who face us, I may have to do just that. My son is waiting for me to bring him home, to rescue him from the horrors he’s faced on his own. I won’t take the chance to find him only to fail him again. Which means I must unearth a way to kill his captor, a man who is immortal. A man who made a deal with the devil to attain his power. As it stands, there is only one way to end that monster’s life.

I thought I'd finally stepped away from the madness of the underworld, away from the Abnormals, away from all those who would do me and those I love harm. The world, though, had different plans. And now I'm trapped, not only physically, but inside my head. Those who have me caged say none of it was real. That I'm not a highly trained assassin of Abnormals. That I have no family. My children do not exist. That there is nothing supernatural about this world. 

The game is afoot, and I never saw it coming. A game of demons, angels and new breed of abnormal that is beyond anything else I’ve faced. A monstrosity that is bent on destroying every other abnormal on the planet. Only one thing can stop those who would wipe us out: a cursed weapon. The clock is ticking as my team and I race to find the curse, the weapon, and the final pieces that will save the world. And when the darkness rises to consume us, I will have to face my greatest fears.
