It is the morning after the storm. Thick fog covers everything. In the stifling, claustrophobic atmosphere, Howie and his group head out for supplies. Skirmishes and tense fights take place and there are messages left in blood at key sites: 'he's coming'. As the day progresses, Howie becomes increasingly darker in thought, and more demanding of his team. By the end of the day they have discovered a munitions factory, but can Howie hold it together?

Jack Walker journeyed halfway around the world and completed his daring rescue. Will the sun ever rise? Can the wraiths be defeated? But as the days turn to weeks, no answers come.

After the devastating events on Prism Lake, Grady and the other survivors head south, hoping to find safety in one of the rumored "Cities of Light". But as they embark on their journey, they quickly discover the monsters aren't the only things out in the snow they must fear.

Cassy and her clan have made it alive to the promised oasis of her farm and prepare for the upcoming winter. But old enemies race to catch up to them and have a different plan in mind. Meanwhile, resistance cells in New York face long odds, including betrayal from within and a tightening gauntlet from the invaders and their quislings. The 20s hint at a plot to level the playing field against the invaders, but their end-game is unclear.

In an apocalypse, there is definitely a beginning where mistakes are made and the seeds of evil are allowed to sprout and take shape. However, an end is not so certain. Once an apocalypse occurs, not even death is certain. Sometimes, death is only the beginning.

A new landscape was formed after the storm, and with it the promise of a new beginning. One race to dominate this land. One race to survive. Murmurs of unrest - or maybe even a brewing civil war - are getting loud. No longer are zombies the only thing preying on those that think to brave the world outside the settlements. Yet as grave as things are getting, this is not the main issue that is plaguing Nate's mind. He has bigger fish to fry.

When there is an industrial accident, some of the Morningstar Strain is actually released. The doctor who discovered the strain and her assistant will have to fight their way through Sprinters and Shamblers to save themselves, the vaccine, and the base. Then they discover that it wasn't an accident at all - somebody inside the facility did it on purpose. The war with the RSA and the infected is far from over.

Dark clouds gather... A storm is breaking... With the sanctuary built, there is a respite from the nightly night runner assaults. Jack Walker and the group of survivors have bought themselves a little breathing room. Or have they? A peaceful daytime outing turns into yet another nightmare sweeping Robert and Bri up with it.
