Korrash, an adventurer from the kingdom of Eastmere, is bored. In the weeks since the pitched battle with the Ghoul Nurse-matron, he’s cleaned up so many vampire infestations that he’s on auto-pilot. Hineni, as one of the nation’s weapon smiths, is pulled into service for the cause, making countless of the Owl-God’s enchanted weapons to supply the human military with as they’re all dragged down towards the south, towards the war front where they must establish a new presence and home, right on the edge of the battlefield. As tensions rise between the mortal races, so too do those between the gods.

There are still mysteries appearing in Eredain. The High Roads are far more dangerous than anything Aranos faced in the Blightlands, and the city of Antas has already repelled assaults from both human and elven armies...with no survivors returning. Discovering the more potent Enhanced Aspects of magic will help Aranos penetrate the Library of Antas and its secret Vault, but just using them could destroy him.
