This is the story “behind” all of my stories, starting from when I was a kid growing up in Havelock, moving on through the 45 years I spent in the field of youth work. I may have a wild imagination, but this one is nonfiction, and filled with true stories of my life and times. For all youth workers out there - I hope this resonates with you, and not only inspires you to never give up on even the toughest, belligerent kids, but serves as a clarion call for you to stand at the wall and fill the gap, while others have given up and quit.
