William De Witt Hyde was an ordained minister, the seventh president of Bowden College and chair of the mental and moral philosophy department.In his lifetime he was also an attorney and prolific author. This volume, The Five Great Philosophies of Life, is his best known work. By examples and quotes, he clarifies the tenets of five philosophies of life, a few of which are rather complex, in a manner easy to understand.
