Most of us have been trained by schools and universities as to what scientific and historical truths are supposed to be. However, I maintain that much of what science and history teaches us is in error because the proponents of different points of view have too narrow an understanding of the truth that reality presents.

Born into a village filled with hateful people, Zephyr grew up not knowing why he was so hated. With no friends and eventually no family, after the passing of his mother, Zephyr was forced to survive by himself as an outcast. Robert William Dale (1829-1895) was an English Congregational church leader based in Birmingham. In "Christian Worldliness" he explores the endless conflict between Christianity and worldliness. He warns of "the bitter melancholy, this profound discontent with all things in Heaven above and on the earth beneath". Rejecting the idea of "the sanctity of misery" he criticizes the Book of Ecclesiastes and the image of the traditional "Romish Saint", and concludes by stating that for the miseries which we cannot avoid, Divine love offers infinite consolation.

On Sunday, September 9, 1739, 20 Kongolese slaves armed themselves by breaking into a storehouse near the Stono River south of Charleston, South Carolina. They killed 23 white colonists, joined forces with other slaves, and marched toward Spanish Florida. There they expected to find freedom. One report claims the rebels were overheard shouting, "Liberty!" Before the day ended, however, the rebellion was crushed, and afterwards many surviving rebels were executed.
