Der 27. September - für Christa Wolf ein besonderes Datum. 1960 folgte die Autorin dem Aufruf der Zeitschrift "Istwestija", diesen Tag in Worte zu fassen. Fasziniert von der "Bedeutung, die ein durchschnittlicher Tag bekommt, wenn man wahrnimmt, wie viele Lebenslinien in ihm zusammenlaufen", hielt sie von da an jedes Jahr am 27. September ihre Erlebnisse, Gefühle und Gedanken fest.

Blazing her trail at the dawn of the 20th century, Vida Goldstein remains Australia's most celebrated suffragette and social reformer.
