落語の演題で、外国の国名が使用されているのは、稀です。オチは駄洒落ですが、テンポ良く、トントンと進めると、とても気持ちの良い終わりとなるだけに、駄洒落は馬鹿に出来ません。

今日では、田楽より、おでんと言う方が通りが良いでしょう。但し、味噌おでんより、味噌田楽と言う方が、味噌の香ばしい香りまでが漂い、美味しそうに感じます。

二代目桂（文廼家）文之助の速記本に載っていますが、頻繁に上演されていたネタではありません。伸縮自在に出来る、便利なネタのように思いますが、実際に上演すると、骨が折れます。

第二次世界大戦前に刊行された速記本に掲載されていますが、長年、高座で上演する者は居ませんでした。

日本絵画の絵師土佐光信が描いた「雁風呂」が様々な人を巻き込み、信じられない展開となりますが、「結果として、これでいいのではないか」と思えるのは、噺の気品がなせる業と言えるのではないでしょうか。

二代目桂（文廼家）文之助が創作したと言われている、仏教落語の一つです。心が迷った時、おみくじ手相顔相字画等で、解決策を見つけたり。易者に自分の運勢は、わからないのでしょうか？

浪曲を下敷きにし、講釈の演出も採り入れ、オチを付けた落語に仕立て直しました。忠臣蔵外伝として、ユニークな作品になったと思います。

昔の速記本へ掲載されている短編ですが、かなり面白い！浄瑠璃が流行った時代、どのようなウケ方をしていたのか、見たいものです。決して、滅んでしまうネタではないと思いますが、如何でしょうか？

東京落語では、「干物箱」という演題で、寄席や落語会では上演頻度の高いネタです。以前は、昭和の名人と言われた八代目桂文楽の名演が光っていました。

第二次世界大戦中の慰問袋へ入れた雑誌の中に、このネタが掲載されていました。近鉄電車が題材になっているだけに、近鉄電車が無くなるまでは、命を保ち続けるネタと言えましょう。

昔は上演されていた落語が今では演じる者が無くなり、滅んだと言われるネタも数多くあります。「そば茶屋」も、その一つ。三代目桂米朝が粗筋を覚えていたのを桂文我が再構成し、上演するようになりました。

東京落語では、五代目古今亭志ん生の十八番でした。上方落語では、四代目桂文紅が高座へ掛け、二代目桂枝雀へ伝わり、爆笑ネタとして、広く知られるようになったのです。

日本で一番古い文学書歴史書とも言える『古事記』の中から、八岐大蛇の部分を取り出し、落語仕立てにしたネタです。

東京落語では、「唐茄子屋政談」という演題ですが、お裁きまで演じることは、皆無に等しいと言えましょう。上方落語で上演された速記は残っていないだけに、上方では、珍品扱いになっています。

打飼は、鉄砲の薬莢（やっきょう）入れで、ポーチのような使い方をしていたみたいです。東京落語に移植され、「夏泥」という演題になりました。最近、上演する噺家が増えたネタの一つと言えましょう。
