Q opens up, so you must listen

“Life is a beautiful responsibility, but it is also a beautiful burden!” “Approach creativity with humility, and respond to success with grace.” Everyone should listen to this audiobook! For musicians and aspiring musicians, add this to your MUST READ list! All music schools SHOULD recommend this! This is THE MUSICIAN’S MANUAL BOOK!

The narrator did a fantastic job - cool, calm, collected! It felt like it was Q talking right beside you!

Everyone should listen to this book

This book is hard to listen sometimes. Because it makes you feel pain.

I thought it was more about his history.

But his history was very though, very though.

But you will learn a lot from this book.

It's a book of lessons that you can apply to your life. To make it better.

He is correct.

Because when I was having problems understanding something or having problems finding a solution for a difficult problem with programming.

I always did do puzzles after my meal. If I didn't have any space. I did so some Tetris or something like that on my cellphone.

It always helped me to find a solution easier.

My parents always thought the least of me about work and where I would be today.

At least I did listen to them. Because I would not have done much.

Today they do not know what to say.

My brother did go to the best schools. Me I did go to the regular ones.

I did achieved more than him until now.

I really liked this book. So much knowledge.

You should really start listening to it soon.

The last note was too much. So I just skipped and press a button to say that I did finish the book.

I lived these notes with Quincy

I have heard and learned from and live a better life from each note of this book. Since 1973, I have witnessed Quincy's veracity and greatness as a man, a mentor, a producer and best of all as a friend. Meeting Quincy was in the stars for me as the philosophies he lives and shares with us here is a faithful continuation of life lessons I gleaned from my Dad...the only man who has had more influence on me. Quincy's humanity and spiritual generosity is massive and bottomless. His empathy is immeasurable as is his quest to learn something new every day...12 Notes brings me back to those enlightening moments when Quincy, in just a few words. (quite often wrapped in humor) has changed and enriched, injected humor and shined a new light on the courses of my life. His words give me hope or challenge me to find a new path and the courage to be myself. I love you, Q, and no words can express how happy it makes me to see these precious words and stories are now being shared with the world. Thank you sounds too tame as to how grateful I am for you...Tommy Bahler.

A self told celebration of a blessed life.

How does one speak of a memory that included having Picasso as a neighbor and not sound boastful? Mr. Quincy Jones gives us pearls of wisdom from a perspective of gratitude. D sharp is my favorite "Note" in the book and I really have to work on F sharp. Thank you for sharing your insight and wisdom Mr. Jones. What a life!

Great Life Lessons

If you know Quincy Jones you know he has something important to say and he says it well in his book! As he tells his story you visually get a glimpse of his life and you feel the experiences and you know his advice is coming from a good place. When he published his book he was 89 years old and full of life lessons that we should all listen to. I’m thankful I brought this book because it’s a harsh reminder that life is short live it as best you can and avoid unnecessary mistakes or regrets. He gracefully reminds us all to live our best life as best we can.Thank you Quincy Jones!

Incredible

I had no idea who Quincy Jones was prior to reading this book, but it could be one of the most inspirational books I’ve ever read. This book should be a requirement for at every business and music school. I’m not a musician but this book makes me want to do better in all aspects of my life, including work. If everyone read this book, the world would most definitely be a better place.
