In the third book in the number-one New York Times best-selling series by Chris Colfer, the Brothers Grimm have a warning for the Land of Stories.

Conner Bailey thinks his fairy-tale adventures are behind him - until he discovers a mysterious clue left by the famous Brothers Grimm. With help from his classmate Bree and the outlandish Mother Goose, Conner sets off on a mission across Europe to crack a 200-year-old code.

Meanwhile, Alex Bailey is training to become the next Fairy Godmother...but her attempts at granting wishes never go as planned. Will she ever be truly ready to lead the Fairy Council?

When all signs point to disaster for the Land of Stories, Conner and Alex must join forces with their friends and enemies to save the day. But nothing can prepare them for the coming battle...or for the secret that will change the twins' lives forever.

Favorite Series

I love The Land of Stories series so far. I'm almost 30, and I think they're fantastic. I was a little disappointed in Colfer's narration of the story at first, but I got used to it, and have already moved on to the next story. I have these books in print, but just never got around to finishing all of them, so I figured why not a better time than now with all the traveling I do to and from work every day.

11 - year old reviewer

If you could sum up A Grimm Warning in three words, what would they be?

funny, thrilling, and awesome.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Grimm Warning?

My favorite part of the book is when Conner met OMG (Old Mother Goose) for the first time.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene in the book is when the sick fairy godmother single handedly fought the dragon.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Kids who live in separate dimensions that must be reunited to save the world.

Any additional comments?

This book is the best. It's scary and funny at the same time and the narrator makes the jokes even funnier.

Ok installment in fairy tale series

My son liked this installment more than I did. I don't think the author is the best narrator. More significantly, neither of us thought the characters were likable or believable in this one. The female protagonist and many of the female minor characters seemed unlikeable. My son thought the male protagonist was very immature given his stated age. That said, he enjoyed the story and that saved it for him.

So intriguing!!!

The story was so amazing and I would listen to it all over again . It has everything, the intrigue the the adventure and the element of surprise! The narrator did a terrific job with the characters because the author was the narrator so he was familiar with all the characters.
I could not find anything that was not pleasant to me throughout the story.
I think it is very good but make sure you are familiar with the previous books.
I would recommend this book to anybody who seeks adventure of any kind , mystery , or a love for all the classic fairytales created.
Even if you're not usually into fantasy, this is a great story for many people. This amazing story about two twins and their fairytale world is probably one of the most amazing and intriguing book series’ I have ever read in my life! I love how it bounces back from the real world and the land of stories it gives you a good balance of adventure, intrigue, suspense, and mystery. This story is extraordinary because you see these two children coming up from 12 through their teenage years. It is interesting to watch all the characters change throughout the series, they can get more mature or start changing the way they think. I think that many people would enjoy this book it's less about age group and more whether you're into this kind of book. I never would've thought that I would be this intrigued by a book series. Some other books that you might enjoy if you read this are; percy Jackson and the Olympians if you are into greek and Roman mythology fantasy, wings of fire if you like dragons, or the sisters Grimm if you would like another story about children who are related to a fairytale world. I really hope he will check this book out and read/ listen to it yourself. It is very worth it. I hope you enjoy the book.!!!!!!!!!!

Makes me feel like I’m at war with fairy tales

I really love the action and all the ossicles Alex and Conner face during the war. I’m now on An Author’s Odyssey and they have grown a lot from the first book, The Wishing Spell.

🦄Cornelius Powr🦄

This book is very different than the others. One day I asked my teacher is the generals. Well that was 26 eyebrows raised at me lol. Kids should read this all the time. In one of the chapters I think the kids with the well, shouldn’t have gotten water at all. They are rude. Why pick on something or someone when y’all can be friends. ❤️= never judge Cornelius or anyone by its cover.
