MC is no longer in tutorial, so there is significantly less fighting and progressing in this book. There is a bit of training & learning, a bit of base building, a bit of exploration, and a bit of politics (which I dislike), with only one big fight. What I liked about the previous books were the magic tinkering + fighting, and I'm a little disappointed that they are no longer the main focus of the series.
