Publisher's Summary
But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?
Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger's bedroom pretty quickly - once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with a vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That's a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into . . . if he can just get Lissianna to bite.

Terrible- just terrible
I only listened to the first few chapters of this book but couldn’t bear to think it might continue in this vein (no pun intended) for the rest of the novel…painful - all of it - the story line, the characters, the narrator…wow! IMO spectacularly bad - I should’ve listened to some of the other reviewers

Le moins intéressant de la série
Rythme lent rendu pénible par la narration. Ce premier livre de la série ne rend pas la définition des immortels et des true mates comme les suivants. Les personnages sont peu attachants et froids.

AVOID THIS NARRATOR ! ! !
The story was 4 stars but the narrator was worse than horrible. I forced myself to listen because I paid for the audiobook. I will NEVER buy another audiobook narrated by this woman. Avoid this narrator at all costs.

Liked the book...hated the narrator
The Narrator did a far better job when she was doing the guy voices...all the girl voices just annoyed me to no end... trying to be all light and airy did not work the way I think she was going for.
As for the story...i found it funny and I like premise of this vampire family but I think I will just read them and avoid further ones in this series if they have the same narrator. Pity

This is book 1 of the Argeneau Vampire Series
This is actually the 1st book in the series even though Audible has "Love Bites" as book 1. I listened to "Love Bites" first which has spoilers for this book in it :( Go to Lynsay Sands website for the correct order of this series.
I completely agree w/ the other reviews about the narrator, but I had to listen to the book since I enjoyed "Love Bites" (which has a different narrator) & decided that I wanted to continue w/ the series. To me she sounds like she's trying waaaay to hard to have a sexy, sultry voice and it just comes across as annoying. Her charater voices were just ok for me, I enjoyed the narrator in "Love Bites" version of Thomas much better. Unfortunatly alot of the humor in the story is lost due to the narration, a vampire that faints at the sight of blood, come on, that's FUNNY, not sexy and should have been read that way.
If you enjoy romantic vampire novels (although these aren't technially vampires since they aren't dead or undead) that are amusing, I do recommend this book, if you can stand the narrator, listen w/ the hope the next book has a better narrator.

Good Story
But.... the narrator killed it for me, hence the low star rating. Sorry but the long pauses and drawn out words made the story very hard to listen to. This book would have been better as a read than a listen. This will unfortunately deter me from buying others in the series with this narrator.

Can't get past the narration!
I really should have listened to the other reviewers and skipped this book because the narrators voice is the most distracting and annoying thing I've ever heard. The only thing I can liken her reading style to is if you combined the sound of a 90s computer reading to you with an NPR host. This could be the best book ever and sadly I'll never know. Avoid this narrator at all costs.

The story was great but the reader was horrible. Hopefully the remaining audiobooks will have a better reader.

Nothing spectacular
It was an OK love story. The story covers the span of about a week, whereby the hero and heroin manage to fall madly in love within about two days. Hmmmm. Ok. I get it. Vampires, werewolves are all made up and we choose to not only read about them but also enjoy the process and even wish it were true. Now on top of that adding a two day love story is a bit hard to swallow, especially when,…. Just kidding. Not about to tell you what happens but believe me when I say not much. It’s a very mediocre story mixed with ok writing.

Great Book
This is the best book in the series to date and I've listen to it 4 times already. The narrator dibn't bother me that bad, and she is a whole lot less annoying then some of the others in this series.
