I've read plenty Omegaverse novels but this is the first Wolfverse one I've experienced so far. Designations are similar but unlike in Omega worlds, these wolves can actually shift. The similarities and differences are interesting.

It took me a minute to get used to the accents, and I appreciate that the narrators are co-narrating each chapter based on who's speaking, instead of taking turns doing the non-dialogue stuff. I'm not sure what that's called but there's likely a specific word for each of those methods. Especially since I'm not used to the accents (as wickedly appealing as they are) it helps me follow along when it's set up in the way it is.

The pace of the story is also satisfying. Overall, I'm pleased I gave this book a try and will likely continue this series. Thankfully if I do need a break, the books in this series follow different MC and packs, so it won't feel... unresolved, if I get sidetracked.
