I read this when I was in my early teens and it still holds up today. The narration is good - save Ilsa's accent (I think it was supposed to be French, but I don't think the narrator nailed it quite right) and a few times where the ton isnt as interesting, but overall pretty good.

These books were my introduction to Mercedes Lackey’s stories many years ago. The character development is fantastic and the stories are rich and immersive.
