Publisher's Summary

Knox and Harper's story continues as the Las Vegas lair - and its two infamous Co-Primes - face their most terrifying enemy yet....

Together, Harper and Knox have overcome just about every evil thing you can think of - from Horsemen of the Apocalypse, to dark magic practitioners, to Lucifer's insistent belief that he's hilarious. They're looking forward to some well-earned downtime - until Harper is attacked by mercenaries in the middle of her tattoo shop.

Worse still, the attackers are trying to take her wings - the ones no one is meant to know she even has. It's a near miss, and once a furious Knox has managed to pull his demon back into line there's only one thing clear - someone knows Harper's secrets and is systematically setting out to destroy her. It seems likely that someone is the third Horseman - but how do they know so much about Harper?

It seems the impossible might be true - they have an enemy hiding at the very heart of the lair. To survive, Harper will need to embrace power that's darker than she's ever experienced, and even Knox can't protect her from everything - though God knows nothing's going to stop him trying. The stakes have never been higher....

Contains mature themes.

production problems

i thought the narration itself was the same as the previous books, but the production was worse. repeating lines and words choppy sounding transitions and it felt like, in a couple of places, pieces of the story were missing. it doesn't make a difference in storyline everything is easy to figure out its just annoying to have spent a credit on the 3rd book in a series to find out that its construction wasn't given the same attention as the first two. im pretty invested in the series so heres hoping. #4 is better.

Great story!

Loved the story but still not happy with the narrator but have listen to all her books of dark except the last one which I'm just not going to get her narration is just too annoying!
The story itself is very good and hopefully she will continue the dark series but please use a different narrator her voice would be better suited for maybe younger or teen books. She just makes her female characters sound whiney all of them !

Section Missing

There is a section missing in the early chapters. I guess I’ll just have to guess what was missed. Good luck!

I’ll fight to the death...

Ashes is the third book in the Dark in You Series. Harper and Knox are stronger than ever and just when it seems that they will be able to thrive and flourish a new challenge grows between them. Harper is more headstrong than ever and as Knox's overprotective urges continue to threaten her independence, sparks fly and burn hotter than ever. When rogue demons try to threaten the peace between the Primes, the stakes are higher than ever for Knox and Harper to take down their enemies and find peace together!

Told in dual POV, Ashes is another dynamic addition to this series. The more time I spend with Knox and Harper, the more time I want with Knox and Harper. The stronger their love grows the more passion blooms between them. As Harper continues to transform, she continues to grow stronger and more invested in her new life with Knox. The supporting characters continue to enhance the plot as the power shifts between the players. My kindle continues to sizzle as Knox and Harper continue to embrace their new life together.

Overall, Ashes is a paranormal romance hit with passion, action, romance, and magic. Suzanne Wright is a master storyteller and I will never get enough of Knox and Harper and this dynamic series!

Boring. Repetitious , did I say boring

Three quarters of the book was a repeat of the 2 previous books. Harper getting kidnap was predictable.

I agree with the other reviewers

I did enjoy the third book, in this series. It's nice to have all three books focus on the same relationship instead of their being a new couple every book. It allows you to get to know the characters better. It also allows the author to get to the meat of the story, faster, since time introducing the characters, to the reader, isn't necessary. That being said, as I was reading other reviews, comments were made about the author wasting too much time reminding readers of events in the previous books. I realize the author was trying to make sure that anyone that started reading this series, with this book, would know whys and what fors, but for those of us that had read the previous books, it became minaughtness.

Entertaining story.

Love the characters and the humor, hate the lack of a good editor. Narrator is a bit whiny at times but overall is tolerable.
