This was such an amazing story. What a trip. The characters were gritty and dark. The pace of the story was excellent. It was really terrific. The narration was utterly fantastic. I don’t know if I would have enjoyed the story as much if I had read the novel because the narrator was that good - especially the voices of the gangsters. Easy 5 stars all around.

I was blown away by All The Sinners Bleed and enjoyed Blacktop Wasteland, so I was really looking forward to this new book, he is one of the best new writers around imo. I will buy anything he puts out in the future, just because I have enjoyed his past work so much.

This new book is great fun, it is sort of a Southern Noire crime story, mixed with Godfather & The Wire sort of. great characters, wonderful dialogue once again and a good story.

The guy doing the voice for this audio book does a great job to!

If you liked S.A. Cosby's other work, pick this up ASAP!

I don’t listen to a lot of fiction but I was quite enjoying this. The story and the performance were very engaging. I just couldn’t get past the first instance of major violence and had to stop listening. I would recommend this book to those who can handle that imagery. I wish I could have, because I was quite enjoying the book.
