NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • To understand who controls the present, one must look to the past . . . Welcome to Beneath, the next installment in the Conform series.

“A dystopian love story that will have you yearning for more.”—Us Weekly

Hundreds of years before Emeline is forced to conform, twenty-three-year-old Sasha Cadell dwells beneath in the underground city, filled with survivors of the recent nuclear fallout.

When Commander Tristian Hayes recruits her for a secret mission to the surface, Sasha is thrust into a brutal training with stakes far beyond mere survival. The fate of remaining humankind hangs in the balance.

As she confronts her own demons, Sasha finds both allies and foes in the training program, as well as a sizzling attraction between her and Tristian that threatens the walls she's built around her heart.

But under the surface, secrets and deception run as rampant as illnesses. And not everyone will survive the rise of a power more terrifying than anything they’ve ever known.

The interconnected, centuries-spanning journey continues with Emeline in Core—coming February 2027.

After listening to Conform a month ago I was excited to seeing what else this story has. It kept me engaged, although at some points I thought I was listening to the same parts over again as wording seemed repetitive. I am looking forward to learning more about how the world from conform is built and if the characters have any links to future characters. I will listen to another book with these characters!

I wanted to like this book! I really enjoyed conform so I thought beneath would be just as exciting. But I could not click with Sasha - I don’t know if it was Sullivans use of internal dialogue that became monotonous or if it was the slow world building that just wasn’t catching me. Sadly DNF, maybe I’ll return to it in the fall when I need a cozier book.
