Story
For the first time as an Orbit special edition, Brent Weeks's blockbuster novella Perfect Shadow tells the origin story of the Night Angel trilogy's most enigmatic character: Durzo Blint. Gaelan Starfire is a farmer, happy to be a husband and a father; a careful, quiet, simple man. He's also an immortal, peerless in the arts of war. Over the centuries, he's worn many faces to hide his gift, but he is a man ill-fit for obscurity, and all too often he's become a hero, his very names passing into legend.

Can't hear the narration over the sound effects.
Not everyone is listening to this in 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound with 8 or more speakers going. You need to have the navigation loud and clear on every channel.
I love this book but when I have to keep jumping back and squinting my ears to get the actual important info being drowned out by horses and screaming or worse moaning and music it totally breaks immersion.
Fire the sound engineer or the director or whoever is responsible for ruining one of the best books I ever read.

These dramatized adaptions are insane good
The voice acting was phenominal, as was the battle scenes/noises etc.
I havnt been able to find the time or the patience yo read and being able to hear it played out as a movie has changed my life and gotten me back into fantasy.
It reminded me of those old school radio plays but amped up to an 11.
Now add that all together with a great writer and story from Brent Weeks?
Just finished the trilogy and first thing i did was search dramatized adapations to find another!

Love the series
Love the series, it’s one of may favourites. With the background noise like battle was quieter, sometimes can’t hear the words which is unfortunate. Besides that 5/5.

hard to get through
the author is all over the place. I don't care about any of the side characters. characters choices are idealistic and not rational. if you like hearing white knight simps making things worse, then maybe this series is for you. the graphic audio is one of their older ones where the background noise is too high. the story does have some intriguing aspects to it, but couldn't overcome the downsides such as 3 chapters of the main character being tortured at the behest of the man he died for... reasons.
