Kelley Armstrong is a wonderful author whose writing keeps her readers engaged from start to finish. I am a huge fan of her writing style and hearing the book read aloud matched how I read the book before!

The Women of the Underworld is probably my favourite series. I've read the paper copies several times. It's unfortunate that there's only a couple here on audible. Even more unfortunate that this narrator didn't capture the voice or essence of any of the characters correctly.

great series, poor performance

My only lament is that Armstrong’s ‘Women of the Underworld’ doesn’t have more books featuring Elena and the pack. Well that and that of those that do feature the Elena, this is the only one available on audible.

I loved bitten

I have read, ie. the print editions of the entire series and love them, love them, love them! And now, I have "listened" to Bitten, the first of the series! I can hardly wait to listen to the audible editions/novellas of these characters' back stories and follow up books. The narration is excellent with great variation of voices. Kelley Armstrong has many series and stand alone books to choose from.

I'm just so disappointed this is the only book of this series on audible. I just loved Elena and thr pack story.

I've read one of the later books by accident a long time ago before realizing this was a series. I've tried reading this one several times and I've finally succeeded. I had a hard time liking the main character because of the way she acts. She definitely has been through a lot of things and needs therapy. Her anger and her wanting a different life is very understandable. She was turned into a werewolf against her will and now all of her dreams went out the window. She couldn't get over the injustice and she left the pack. Cool. However, all of her unresolved issues have turned her kind of toxic. She's too proud and thinks she knows better than everyone. She doesn't listen and walks around with a chip on her shoulder instead of telling people exactly how she feels when they're bending over backwards to help and then she lashes out. Oh, and she emotionally and physically cheats on her boyfriend with the one person she claims to hate the most. It's like make up your mind girl and stop giving mixed signals all over the place and then get mad when people don't take your threats seriously 🙄. I'm glad I got through this one though because there are other characters in this world whose journeys I am eager to follow.
