Publisher's Summary

They all want the Dragon dead.

The Dragon was trained from his youth to operate as a lethal killing machine. He has tangled with crime lords, dangerous insurgents, even Nether Ops...and none of these forces has been able to bring the elusive warrior to heel.

Enter the notorious bounty hunter Tyrus Rechs.

Rechs takes on the job as a favor to an old Savage Wars buddy. Only Rechs isn’t out to kill the Dragon - his mission is to save the kid’s life.

Unless the Dragon kills Rechs first.

Best of Galaxy's Edge

Requiem for Medusa and Chasing the Dragon are unequivocally the two best prequels in Anspach and Cole's outstanding Galaxy's Edge series.
What makes them so outstanding? Four things:
1. Rex is the main protagonist in both novels;
2. Both stories have captivating and complex plot lines, and they're also chock-full of brutal action scenes;
3. Anspach and Cole's writing is exceptional, offering vivid descriptions of people and planets along the galactic ring, and providing the characters with multidimensional and dynamic personalities;
4. Ray Porter's narration is truly superb.
(IMO, Porter and Bray are the only two narrators capable of hopping in to properly narrate any given story in Galaxy's Edge, without either butchering the voices primary characters or disrupting the overall flow of the story.)
Both Requiem for Medusa and Chasing the Dragon have rightfully earned my highest recommendation. Bravo!

Awesome read

Action packed from start to finish. Strap in for another tale in the galaxy centered around Tyrus Rex and his pursuit of the mysterious bounty "The Dragon". Is the Dragon friend, foe, or just another bounty for Tyrus to cash in on. Find out in this installment in the Galaxys Edge series.

Rechs rides again

Another fantastic Rechs adventure, as he chases down a man so dangerous he has knocked Rechs off his perch as the galaxy's most wanted. But who is "The Dragon" and what terrible secrets does he know? As Rechs chases down leads to find the dragon, the question becomes Will Rechs destroy the dragon, or try to save him?

This series is by far, the best. I love the tragic story of the great Tyrus Rechs!

Valuable Backstory

Another outstanding book. I particularly enjoyed the backstory and found myself having a few lightbulb moments about a character from the main series storyline, thanks to this book. At any rate, KTF.

Another Enjoyable Adventure!

Bittersweet and poignant as always, Galaxy’s Edge delivers another adventure where an anti-hero bounty hunter tries to right one of the wrongs he let happen.

More, please!

The awesome thing about the Galaxy's Edge tangent stories is not only do you get a great adventure to listen to, you also get all kinds of information that enhances the main series, without any redundancy or retreads. You don't even realize you've expanded your knowledge of GE until the next time you listen to it. You think you're familiar with the story and suddenly it's in 4K now. Makes you wonder where the hell was my head at when I listened to this last time?! Wow. So much more vivid. Scenes that were no big deal take on weight and significance and characters that faded into the background are stepping off the page. Pretty amazing writing if you ask me.

So, besides that subtle bonus, you also get a _great_ story in Chasing the Dragon. The second installment of the Tyrus Rechs mini series is a well rounded action adventure that takes place on the reclusive Sinasian worlds at the galaxy's edge. Beautiful locales, exotic tech, interesting bots, kick ass fighting and more insight into the life and experiences of the long lived warrior. Oh! And excellent narration too. I wish there was a third installment about this fascinating character.

Two thumbs up and my big toes for good measure

I loved every minute of it, I loved it printed and Ray Porter's narration was spot on. I was left not just wanting more, but needing it!

okay story with great performance

Pretty much a stand alone story about Tyrus Rex and his adventures in days past. Plenty of action and adventure but in the end the point to it all is hard to find. Skip it or listen to it, won't make much difference to appreciating the original series any more or less.
