Publisher's Summary

Lenna let the air escape her lungs. As soon as she had made a noise she heard one that did not come from her. It was a hissing sound that spilled out in a rush and was followed by a heaving nasal breath. A red-hot flame appeared as if from nowhere and lit up a small post and the immediate area beyond. Lenna kept her eyes on the lighted space around the post, waiting, watching for signs of movement. At this moment the darkness in which she sat was her friend, hiding her from whatever lay beyond.

She held her breath, then watched in uncomfortable silence almost willing something to happen or someone to enlighten her. It was as her eyes began to blur that a face materialised out of the black. It moved into the ardent glow of the burning light. Lenna's eyes widened as she tumbled backwards in shock and awe. A great white head appeared above her, larger than herself. Its red eyes stared down upon her, eyeing her over.

A stolen child, a distraught mother and a desperate race to claim the mystical merndaicur shells.

In this final instalment of the trilogy, Lenna seeks to take back her child, stolen by the Dark Mage and gifted to the Warlord Moorlan for an heir. Afeclin finds himself on an unexpected journey of self-discovery with a unique stranger. Wolflang works to stamp out slavery on the Mainland of Marrapassa with his Scorpion brothers, until a mysterious friend guides him in an alternative direction. Meanwhile the Ormnhi grows in power and strength. But will that be enough to destroy the Dark One before he lays claim to all the merndaicur and brings destruction against the inhabitants of Titania? While all paths seem to lead to Alkarrien, will the three friends from Tebelligan be reunited against their common enemy or be thwarted due to mortal weakness and pride?

The books Keep getting better!!

Best of the tree books by far. The story had me engrossed from start to finish, let's hope that this is not a trilogy and we have more books to come as I look forward as to how each of the characters develop.
