The unapologetic intensity with which Emily Brontë wrote this story ensures that it will forever be considered one of the greatest works of English literature. A passionate tale of a chaotic and often violent love, Wuthering Heights transcends your average romance and, with its Gothic undertones, takes the listener on a journey through one man's lustful hunt for revenge.

After spending four years in a Siberian penal settlement, during which time he underwent a religious conversion, Dostoevsky developed a keen ability for deep character analysis. In The Brothers Karamazov, he explores human nature at its most loathsome and cruel but never flinches at what he finds.

On his journey he learns from many teachers: the ascetic Samanas, the all-knowing Gotama the Buddha, Kamala the lovely courtesan, and Vasudeva the simple ferryman.

Histoire955
When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity. Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

A fantastic and harrowing tale of a troubled man
Un problème est survenu. Veuillez réessayer dans quelques minutes.
For me it is hard to not see a political undertone to this book. To quote dostoevsky, "You can judge the degree of a civilization by seeing its prisons". We must srsly rethink our prisons, retributive justice does not work. It leads to high recidivism rates and makes crime a cyclical cycle. If the Scandanavians can implement such a system of rehibilitation with amazing results why can't we? "America is a different country, apples and oranges". Well, last time I checked humans live in Scandanavia not aliens.
Finally, importantly, Anthony Heald knocks this out of the park. One of the best narrators I have ever had the pleasure of having for an audio book. He never faults and he always keeps you engaged.
Tearful and Political
