Great story but I could not get over the narration. Poor accents, weird inflection.
I listened to it once but skipped it the last two times I listened to the series 😬

I find it insulting to hear stories set in my beloved Montreal, read by Americans who cannot take the time to find out how things are pronounced in Quebec. Is this not part of the job.? It spoilt a tale of a time I lived through that would have other wise captivated me a great deal

I am just listening to the full series and have started on book 3 now. I was a bit nervous about this book because of the review on the narrator’s voice and intonation. I quite like Lorelei King’s voice and find her easy to listen to. She also does a great job distinguishing between the different characters with her voice. I am enjoying this book as much as the first two. Good story as always!
