It's the day of the Christchurch Dog Show.

The dog show's vet is performing CPR on a woman. The ladies rush over, but it's too late.

Back at the shop, the ladies learn that the poor woman was murdered. Someone injected Sylvia Steadman with something very nasty indeed.

Sylvia was the owner of Crufts champion Charlie, a handsome black Standard Poodle. She must have had lots of very jealous competitors...

Our silver sleuths barely have time for elevenses. The charity shop detectives must roll up their sleeves—they have a killer to catch.

Really enjoying this series. This cozy mystery series includes three retired British ladies consuming plenty of tea and cake whilst mulling over the details of various crimes. It is excellent, the kind of comforting mystery that is so easy to read. I recommend reading the series from the beginning.

I love this series for the warm and cozy ambience it offers. The characters are very vivid and you really feel like you’re spending time with some good old friends on a Sunday afternoon. As for the murder-mystery itself I have to say that after listening to the first two books, I’ve been more satisfied with the ending of this one. Made more sense to me that the previous stories. Clues finally pointed to the killer although the motive still seemed a bit out of the blue, to me.
Would I recommend this for someone searching for a mind boggling detective novel? No, but I would absolutely recommend it to those looking for a cozy, lighthearted story with a hint of whodunit.
The reader was absolutely great!
Overall, an enjoyable experience.

Loved this audiobook! The writing is sharp and genuinely funny, and the performance is fantastic — it really brings the story to life. I laughed out loud more than once and can’t wait to start the next one.
