About this listen

Free from his shattered cage, Avo goes from prey to predator as he continues to nurse his growing apotheosis.

With the Crucible overcome and the Syndicate defied, Avo turns from evasion to infiltration in the quest for answers—and retribution. With his Necrojacking capabilities restored, he delves into the depths of the Nether. Greater shadows move in the backdrop, their fingers slowly closing around him.

But no more is Avo just an instrument in another's game, a weapon to be used and spent for someone else's dreams. The fire of godhood has been lit within him.

His hunger will not be denied.

Thought the first book was underrated, that the writing quirks would be ironed out. Then this book comes along and has so many meandering fluffy moments that leave me asking "why is this in the story?" Plot threads are abruptly picked up and put back down in an unfocused dreary slog.

There was so much potential, the characters are compelling, the world is super interesting, the narration is so good, how could it wind up like this? Then I find out it's being released on patreon (where the authors icon is AI generated) and it all clicks together. This release style prioritizes quantity over quality, forcing an author to write without a clear vision or when the writing passion isnt there.

Patreon release model sucks the life from this story.
