Publisher's Summary

Soon to be a major motion picture sequel to Murder on the Orient Express with a screenplay by Michael Green, directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh alongside Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer!

Beloved detective Hercule Poirot embarks on a journey to Egypt in one of Agatha Christie’s most famous mysteries.

The tranquility of a luxury cruise along the Nile was shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway had been shot through the head. She was young, stylish, and beautiful. A girl who had everything...until she lost her life.

Hercule Poirot recalled an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: “I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.” Yet under the searing heat of the Egyptian sun, nothing is ever quite what it seems.

A sweeping mystery of love, jealousy, and betrayal, Death on the Nile is one of Christie’s most legendary and timeless works.

Death on the Nile is perfect.” (The Guardian)

“One of her best. . . . First rate entertainment.” (Kirkus Reviews)

Bravo Mr. Branagh!!!!!

I loved every second of this audiobook experience. All I can say is, if you love Poirot, and you don’t yet own a version of this book, stop shopping right now and buy this audiobook. If you already have the David Suchet version (which is also very good btw), but you love Death on the Nile, do yourself a favor and buy this audiobook. This is my favorite Agatha Christie book, and I already own the fore mentioned version, but ever since I heard Kenneth Branagh read Murder on the Orient Express, I’ve been counting the days for my monthly credits. Now I’m hoping that he reads Evil Under the Sun next.

Not one of Dame Agathas best

Surprisingly, I prefer the movie version of this story ( 1978 ). Perhaps because of the lovely scenery and set design. This is a typical Hercule Poirot mystery, everyone is a suspect. Kenneth Branagh does a great job narrating.

Fantastic story, wonderful narrator

The narrator did a wonderful job and the story was full of twists and turns and ups and downs. A wonderful mystery for those who enjoyed Murder on the Orient Express.

Not my kind of book

Between the accents and all the people I can’t follow. I listen for entertainment. It’s a job listening to this book.

As much as I already enjoy this story, I didn't realize what a joy it would be to listen to Kenneth Branagh perform it....wonderful! Cannot wait for the new film!

Well acted

I've never read this book. I love the movie and I was excited to listen to this book, especially since the narrator is an excellent actor. this was a really enjoyable read, I mean listen. I think my only gripe with the performance was his accent for Poirot was a little bit off. but that's just because I know a lot of European accents. otherwise I really recommend this .

WOW AC can really write

I know this is a classic for a reason but I was amazed how good this story was. missing all of today's technology, but did not feel dated. AC is beloved and popular for a reason!
