Complex storyline
Fantastic writing, but you definitely have to pay close attention to follow the storyline. Definitely my new favourite sci-fi writer!

Great Ideas, OK Story
I liked the series and this novel more for the ideas presented and discussed than the characters or specific story. I'd recommend it for anyone who felt the same about the Dark Forest novel/concept as it hit the same kind of notes.

if you made it this far, you'll like this book.
I wish that the women in these books had some kind of character but that's not why people read these. everything wrong with the first two books is amplified here. no main theory is presented like in The Dark Forest. the story doesn't end, keeps going and going but it's very engaging.

such a great story
Cixin Liu is a master story teller. I can compare him with Arthur C Clark. This Three-body problem series is much more than a Sci-Fi story. it brings awe and wonder to the reader and a sense of understanding how grand and mysterious the universe is.

Worth the trip
if you had to patience to came this long, you already know it was well worth the trip... larger than life, full of imagination, realistic portrait of the dark true nature of (not so) intelligent beings, and for the most part a smart integration of physics and mathematics to a fictional world (which is rare in these kind of stories)

Excellent conclusion to a great trillogy.
Cixing Liu must have been in a dark place when he wrote this. Not only does he give you hope just to take it away, he takes the time to explain in detail why you were wrong to have any on the first place.
Amazing right up to the end. Left me wanting more and that's always a good thing. I definitely intend on going back through the trillogy again at a later date.
