In Dimensions, Dr. Jacques Vallee reexamines the historical record that led to the modern UFO phenomenon and to the belief in alien contact. He then tackles the enigma of abduction reports, which come from various times and various countries, as well as the psychic and spiritual components of the contact experience. I have been attracted to the notion of the UFO/UAP phenomenon for as long as I can remember. I have heard the name Jaques Vallee multiple times and this is the first of his books I have read and it has challenged everything I thought I knew about the subject.
To read this book challenged my views profoundly.
Even if it was written in '88 it still absolutely holds up today.

I found this book was primarily narrating stories from various sources in history relating to unique witnessed other worldly phenomenon.

After a time I would start to fall asleep like I was being told a nighttime story. I was really hoping for some scientific explanation of the phenomenon, but I did not get that at all. What I did get was an opinion from the author that he believes that this is all part of some control system be it higher level humanity, or something interdimensional.

It is an interesting hypothesis that all of this has been preplanned for an extensive period of time which would make sense for many of theses sightings or phenomenon from as early as the middle ages up until now would definitely support the theorem that there is a control mechanism in place and that humanity is the property of something that is controlling everything. This could be higher dimensional Beings. This is a good theory from my perspective.

All in all, I am very fascinated by the topic and am following it closely.

I would like to think that some of us are part of a new system and have abilities that have been adapted and engineered from these higher beings. I believe these are the Prodigies that are sparking new realities for humanity on various levels of genius, and as each generation past, present and future continue to create and explore the human mind we will be closer to the emergence of the true mankind as spoken of by E. Levi. and M.P Hall .

I really enjoyed how Jacques Vallee explores and discusses the topic of ufos, alien abductions and the paranormal from both a scientific and a historical perspective. This book is a must-read for those who have a serious interest in the phenomenon!
