Publisher's Summary

You can't choose your family. Or can you?

Meet the Bensons. A pleasant enough couple. They keep themselves to themselves. They wash their car, mow their lawn and pass the time of day with their neighbours. And they have a beautiful little girl called Daisy.

There's just one problem. Daisy doesn't belong to the Bensons. They stole her. And now they've decided that Daisy needs a little brother or sister.

DS Nathan Cody is about to face his darkest and most terrifying case yet....

Each Nathan Cody book is better than the previous!

Enough twists and turns to keep you going. I particularly thought the way the author handle the three girls was compelling. Looking forward to the next novel.

good

So, I kind of hate kidnapping stories, but this one was bearable. Uncomfortable and unnerving, but bearable.
Can I just say, Cody is kind of a garbage cop? Guy needs retraining, ASAP.
The story was tense and evenly paced, with some nice character development and a minor twist at the end that I didn't see coming.
Overall, an entertaining work listen.
