Publisher's Summary

From the days of Dungeons and Dragons comes this epic fantasy tale centering around two knights who have been accused of crimes they did not commit. Banished from their lands, they seek to regain their honor. But it is the mystery of the destiny of one of the knights that is the catalyst for it all.

The Fire Islands, far to the north, hold the answers to the future. Slaying a dragon will give them their honor back; a suicide quest, but their only hope.

Amateurish

I found this book quite amateurish. Not sure if it’s meant to be for younger readers or not. One of the problems I had with it was the narrator. Her voice is fine, but the delivery is the problem. There are no breaks in between the sections which switch topic and point of view, so things get quite confusing.

It also seems like the author tried to throw all the fantasy tropes into a short story. It would have been better to introduce some themes later since this is supposed to be book one of a series
